Exciting start to the 9th ASEAN Para Games

The first day of competition at the 9th ASEAN Para Games in Kuala Lumpur has set the standard for what will follow in the coming days.

Our start to the tournament saw hosts Malaysia take on Singapore in a replay of the 2015 bronze medal match. Singapore had the more confident start, dominating play, however it was the locals that fought back to take the victory.

The second match of the day, a replay of the gold medal match of 2015 saw Thailand compete against Myanmar. Closely fought with chances from both sides, the game looked certain to end goalless until Thailand broke through in injury time to find the goal.

We have an exciting few days ahead to see who will be the 2017 ASEAN Para Games champion and gold medal winner.
