IFCPF Role Changes Update - Ashley Hammond Announced as New CEO

News

President of The International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF) Jan-Hein Evers wishes to provide an update on role changes within the organisation.

Dear Members,The IFCPF is delighted to announce some exciting news as we look forward to our World Cups in November.

In line with our mandate from the 2022 General Assembly, we have worked tirelessly to create the player council. The creation of the council has now been completed. This council has started monthly meetings and has two representatives joining the IFCPF Board meetings, adding a very useful perspective to our mission.

Next year, we will celebrate our 10th year as the World governing body of CP Football. To help the IFCPF prepare for the next decade and the World Cups, we have appointed a new CEO for an initial six-month interim period.

Born and raised in England, Ashley Hammond is now a business and non-profit entrepreneur in the United States and with immediate effect will be heading up the IFCPF management team.

"I love CP Football and I have been to many of the recent IFCPF events," Hammond said.

"I am very excited to get to work with the management team whose excellent work has been the pillar of the IFCPF.

"We have enjoyed great success in the U.S. building our program (CP Soccer) on the field and with our sponsors and partners off the field.

"The IFCPF has a great story to tell and  now it is time to share it with the world."

Sam Turner, our current CEO/Secretary General, will become Football Director, responsible for all football matters and development. This change allows Sam to continue to flourish in the areas of football development.

Tom Langen will step back from his position as Technical Director, but will continue as a member of the Management Team, Technical Committee and roles as Technical Delegate and Course Tutor. Alice Holland, as Administrator will continue in her role and member of the Management Team.

The newly shaped Management Team will redistribute the tasks and roles, but has already hit the ground running to deliver a memorable and high-quality 2024 IFCPF World Cup (Men & Women).
