In their first appearance in a World event, Italy gave the experienced Scotland team a hard match in the first half. Although Scotland played most of the first half on the Italian half, it was Italy that had the best chances in the beginning of the match.
But finally the dominance in the field of Scotland led to the first goal scored. Number 3, Martin Hickman scored with a distance shot in the lower corner of the goal. Half time 0 – 1.

In the second half the physically strong Scottish team extend the score with some fantastic distance shots. Final score 0 -6.
