The first teams to enter the field of play in this group were Denmark against Colombia. The game that looked tense on paper ended in an easy win for Colombia. With the win, Colombia has become the winner of group B.

At the start of the game, Colombia had the best of the game, creating small chances, hitting both the post and the crossbar. In the 10th minute it was 0-1 for Colombia. 3 minutes later it was already 0 – 2 due to a nice individual action by Rios Parra. Colombia increased the lead to 0 – 6 at half time via a penalty and 3 more goals. This showed Colombia to be one of the favorites for the overall victory. In the second half Colombia still scored 3 more goals and Denmark tried to save the honor.
