In the classic Netherlands - Germany, Germany had no chance against a strong playing Netherlands. The Dutch team had a lot of possession and that resulted in chance after chance. Sem van Helden was the big man in the first half. He scored three times and a nicely played attack was neatly finished by Jeroen Saedt.

In the second half, the Netherlands remained the better team and further increased the score with another goal from Sem van Helden and one from Lorenzo Calkhoven. Only when the Dutch coach Stefan Lokhoff decided to give some players playing time did the Germans manage to become dangerous and score another goal of honour.
