In a very attractive match with good football, beautiful goals were scored. After USA had come to 0-1 through Catrina Guimares, Eva Walsh struck powerfully with a shot in the top corner 1-1. The match developed into a battle in which physical contact was not avoided. In the first half, USA scored 4 more goals, three by Leake Cassidy and another by Catrina Guimares. Heather Jameson shot a free kick hard for Ireland.

After the break, the first feat was for Jesselyn Kuhnel who unfortunately hit the crossbar for the second time in the match but was later successful twice towards the end of the match.
USA continued to increase the score. After a beautiful solo by Cassidy Lake, she passed the ball in time to Joey Martin who finished neatly. Halfway through the second half, Martin scored her second.
A deserved victory for USA.
