2018 Regional Championships for Europe and Asia-Oceania

It is with great pleasure that IFCPF can confirm the host countries for the 2018 IFCPF European Championships and 2018 IFCPF Asia-Oceania Championships

The IFCPF Board sincerely appreciates the bids received from all of our member organisations, with their commitment and dedication to CP Football.

2018 IFCPF European Championships

Background:

Since 1986 The Netherlands have been present at the international stage of CP Football. The Dutch team have been present at all Paralympic Games from 1988. In 1990 and 2011 The Netherlands organised the World Cup and in 2009 it organised the Intercontinental Cup (World Championships). Now for the first time, The Netherlands want to organise the European Championships.

The tournament will be organised at the renewed KNVB Campus, the headquarters of the Dutch FA in Zeist.

Competition Venue - KNVB Campus:

• Football Medical Centre, for classification and doping

• Artificial pitch for classification

• Dutch teamhotel

• 3 hybrid pitches. This area is going to be rebuild in 2017 and it will be ready for the tournament in 2018

• Dressing-rooms and meeting-rooms

Accommodation:

• 4 hotels
• Meeting rooms
• Wifi
• Walking distance to pitches or drive less than 15 minutes

2018 IFCPF Asia-Oceania Championships

Background:

I. R. Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled, under I. R. Iran NPC started their activities in 7-a-side football in 1993 and the first National Championships were organized in 1994. The Iranian CP football  team participated in International Gold Cup competitions, held in Russia in 2000 and this was their first appearance in an international arena. Currently, 616 players are actively participating in this sport throughout our country, in 24 provinces, assisted by 23 CP football coaches, 10 referees and 4 classifiers.

Competition Venue - Kish Olympic Sports Complex:

• Training fields (Natural and Artificial)

Accommodation:

Hotel Iran Kish

• Iran Hotel was built in 2013 with a new structure and a completely modern architecture on a land of 7,000 m2 area.
• The hotel structure is made up of two separate blocks, which in addition to the lobby, are interconnected to each other on the 7th floor as well.
• The hotel has 108 rooms in four types: standard double, twins, triple and suites, which are designed with larger interior spaces in comparison to other hotels.
• Hotel facilities includes: a modern gym, a swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and massage room, a conference hall and a lounge, the main restaurant of the hotel with a capacity of 250 people, the Vittoria café-restaurant, covered parking, coffee shop in the lobby, nightly mini-bar services, the playground for children, and the provision of medical services to guests.
