CP Football U19 at the European Para Youth Games
NewsThe first match of the first 2017 IFCPF European Championships U19 kicks off on Tuesday 10th October between Denmark and England.
The 2017 IFCPF European Championships U19, as part of the European Para Youth Games 2017, will see three teams compete in the first edition of this tournament. Denmark, England and Spain will all battle it out to see who will be the first ever European Champion of U19 CP Football.

All matches will be played at the Campo Sportivo G.B Ferrando in Genoa, Italy.
CP Football U19
Under 19 CP Football began at the 2015 IFCPF World Championships U19 (part of the 2015 CPISRA World Games), and has now led to regional championships at under 19 level. Earlier this year, Sao Paulo - Brazil hosted the Americas tournament within the 2017 Youth Para PanAm, and early 2018 will see a tournament take place in Asia-Oceania.
In August 2018, Sant Cugat - Spain will host the next 2018 IFCPF World Cup U19, where teams from each of the regional championships will qualify to compete.
The rules of CP Football U19 are exactly the same as those for open aged CP Football, however the below eligibility criteria applies:
- In Under 19 tournaments players must be 14 years of age on 1st January in the tournament year and under 19 years of age on 1st January in the tournament year.
- In Under 19 tournaments a team can enter three players under 21 years of age on 1st January in the tournament year.
- During Under 19 tournaments, teams are only permitted to field a maximum of two (2) over-aged players at one time. If an over-aged player is dismissed, it is not allowed to replace the player with another over-aged player.
