Brazil guarantees its place in the final

Brazil started the match against Chile aiming for a win which would guarantee its slot in the great final next Saturday. The Chileans tried to defend as harder as possible, especially by the goalkeeper #1 Jairo Moreno, with many nice saves. But not enough to suffer two goals in the first half, scored by #10 Cesar Aguiar (16th minute) and #6 Leonardo Morais (29th minute). In the second half, the Brazilians scored two more goals, one more time by #6 Leonardo Morais, at the 35th minute, and at the very end by #14 Lucas da Silva. By the total of points reached after this fourth consecutive win, Brazil confirmed one of the places at the golden medal match on the final day of the competition.

Important win for Argentina aiming a place in the final

Argentina played against Canada putting pressure during the whole match, to score as many goals as possible to almost guarantee its place in the golden medal match against Brazil. Canada felt so much the absence of its captain and main player #5 Samuel Charron. After a first half with the score of 4-0, Argentina made a high intensity at the second one, scoring more 6 goals. The place in the final is almost guaranteed.

Brazil beat Venezuela with both facing the final day

Brazil and Venezuela entered the pitch for their last match of the preliminary and qualifying phase. Both of them sparing their main players, aiming the final matches next Saturday. Under a high temperature, the match was played in a not too speedy way. Brazil scored five goals against a brave defense of the Venezuelans. The main goal was achieved: save energy for the last day.
