Spain - Italy

Spain immediately took the initiative, scored in the second minute and Italy saw its goalkeeper leave the field with a serious injury. The start could not have been better for Spain. 2 - 0 was the score after 9 minutes. It looked like a monster score, but Italy started to bite back and scored. At halftime a 3 - 2 score had been reached, something the Spanish had certainly not anticipated.

In the second half it remained exciting, but after 4 - 3 Spain scored twice in a row and Italy's resistance was broken. The score developed finally to 11 - 3. Spain now has to wait for the result from the match between England and The Netherlands to know if they qualify for the semi-finals
