The Netherlands - Scotland

The Netherlands had the upper hand throughout the first half. Frequent possession of the ball and frequently fired at the Scottish goal. Still, the Dutch fans, again numerous in orange in the stands, had to wait until the 12th minute before they could cheer for the first time when Bruno Hoek left the Scottish goalkeeper without a chance from a free kick. The Scots could not create a single chance. It was only in the injury time of the first half that the Netherlands increased the score to 3 – 0 thanks to goals from Sem van Helden and Daan Dikken. In the second half, Scotland had excellent chances that were cancelled by good goalkeeping from The Netherlands. The Netherlands further expanded the score through goals from the same players as in the first half, resulting in the final score of 6-0.
