BRAZIL - ENGLAND

In a very physical match both teams realised that a win was important to secure the group win and avoid world champions Ukraine in the quarter finals. Neither team took all the risks in the first half. Brazil came closest to scoring but goalkeeper Giles Moore prevented the opening goal with a great save.
Half time score 0 โ€“ 0
In the second half England started to get stronger. They came very close to the opening goal but could not get the ball behind goalkeeper Silva Matos that was bouncing back and forth in a scrimmage. Liam Irons looked to score after a foul but just missed the goal line. Captain Matthew Crossen took the responsibility but his shot was saved by the Brazilian goalkeeper.
