ARGENTINA - SPAIN

In this tense match with a place in the quarter finals at stake, the tension was palpable. Spain had a bit more possession but the goalkeepers on both sides had a quiet first half. No chances were created. An effort from Argentina hit the crossbar but Spain goalkeeper Martin Diez Ruiz was on his guard.
The second half initially showed the same game but now with more dominance for Argentina. This changed when Christian Billordo from Argentina received a red card in the 53rd minute.. Spain however did not know how to take advantage. When Argentinaโ€™s Bautista Carbonetti also received a second yellow card in the 60th minute, there was too little time to score. Due to the 0-0, Argentina has qualified for the quarter finals and Spain will play for position 9-15.
